OK, will put you all out of your misery, besides I am so excited I got to tell people.
I have to say I don't think the pics do it justice, it is a stunning bike in the flesh.
These are not my pics but ones taken from the advertisement I will post some of my own up when I get the bike in the garage, picking it up tomorrow.
This bike is going to be soooooooooooooooooooo much fun! Welcome to the world of hyper sports touring....
2008 K1200 S
Woohoo!! Welcome to the dark side! Time to slip out of the eye catching red dress and into the sleek, sexy black one. You will have fun!!
ReplyDeleteWell said! and my thoughts exactly.
Delete:^)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a beautiful bike, you are now all German :-)
ReplyDeleteHow does it sound compared to the Triumph Triple? I still think the triple has the best sound of any bike. Good luck and watch for the cops, not that you speed ;-)
The sprint had a standard exhaust, compared to this bike it sounded quiet. This thing sounds like it is on on steroids!
DeleteI KNEW it! I could smell the Beemer Kool Aid from an ocean away. Looking forward to your first ride report.
ReplyDeleteThanks hun, I am looking forward to it to...
DeleteEven looking through very dark glasses that is one sexy machine... Well bought!
ReplyDeleteCheers..
Deletecongratulations! That looks like it's going to be a fun ride.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be mate....not as much top end speed as yours though, but a weapon none the least.
DeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteRog,
ReplyDeleteNils Poulsen was convinced that you'd bought a Ducati Diavel! Buying a Honda Blackbird with BMW badges on was a far classier choice ;-)
YOU MEANIE...sabotaging my new bike with talk of of a old, out dated honda....
DeleteWell I 'spose there's a K there somewhere....
ReplyDeleteI'll keep an eye out for a low-flying jaffa then - enjoy!
Hehe..yep it has a K! and low flying is probably the correct term.
DeleteAnother thought (I've slept on it), you could always paint it green...
DeleteVery nice Rog, very nice. Now everyone can have a laugh when Geoff says get a big black one up ya.
ReplyDeleteThanks...I think Geoff has all ready started...(Honda with BMW badges etc)....
DeleteRoger:
ReplyDeletecongrats on your new ride. I'm not sure what you're going to do with all that power. I don't think THIS OLD COOT will be able to keep up
bob
Riding the Wet Coast
Dont worry Bob, he will have no trouble keeping up. He is good like that.
Deleteooooooooooooooooh! now thats hot babe!
ReplyDeletelol, beemer girls comment, red dress to black dress, i love it :) everyone must have at least one...
Have you been peering in my wardrobe again!
DeleteConsidering the bike's origins the black number would need to be LEATHER!! with suspenders - hahahaha
DeleteIt just oozes sultry and looks like it is a fast little thing. Ride like the wind and don't get caught!
ReplyDeleteI will and I wont...
DeleteYa just couldn't wait to show off eh :-D
ReplyDeleteI don't reckon we'll see many photos now, you won't wanna stop for pics.
Grats!
The brakes are good brenda....just need to work out how to use them!
DeleteVery nice Roger. Hmmm, you now own a bike I haven't ridden. How to solve this one.....? Enjoy it mate.
ReplyDeleteThat can be easily remedied.....Special on Air NEw Zealand atthe moment!
DeleteSweet! Looks fast, even on the center stand... How about a sound bite??? :)
ReplyDeleteWill see what I can do...
DeleteA fucking proper bike at last! Welcome to the world of the shaft.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute.....
That sounded a bit dodgy did it not?
Actually, it is a weapon of mass erections......
DeleteSo done feel to bad, it is the sort of comment i expect from a mad scotsman..how is your summer by the way?
better still when are we going to see pics of the new bike~
Hyper Sports Touring? Isn't that what happens when you put too much sugar into your large coffee?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bike. Are you planning any mods for it?
Quick shift.....BIG GRIN!
DeleteShe's a sexy beast alright, but I blame your new found love of BMWs on Lori since she isn't here to defend herself. Can't wait to see some pics you've taken.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I actually blam lori for every thing....
DeleteWait wait wait. I've been admiring your Sprint ST from afar for a long time. It was my dream bike. Then one showed up at my local dealer and I test rode it. The vibration from the throttle put my hand asleep within a few miles. I was so disappointed! I figured it must've been a fluke. Months have gone by and I've kind of fallen in love with the K1300S. One of *those* just showed up at a local dealer, but I can't buy it because my car just failed! Now I have to envy your K1200S TOO! So not fair. Did you trade the Triumph?
ReplyDeleteMatt....mate, sorry ahout that! Didnt trade the sprint selling it privatly, put it at auction for $1 reserve, 6 days to go and it is about half way where I expect it to sell..
ReplyDeleteThe K is a bike above the sprint i have to say, going to add a quick shift as the only mod, it is pretty well spced up off the shelf.
Your new bike is a beauty!
