  1. Looks like it works. If you double tap the pictures after placing them on the page, you can change their properties such as size and placement. And, unfortunately, still useful is the html button on the lower right to fix things that the gui doesn't get right.

    1. My technical skills are average at best....I am just not a patient person, it needs to work and its needs to work now!

  2. It worked. I have been reluctant to try Blogsy so far on the iPad, but then maybe I'm just too lazy to put forth the effort to learn it on the iPad.

I have thought about using it when traveling, but I am hesitant about posting from the road. That way I'm not announcing "Hey our house is empty, come rob us," Basil doesn't make a good guard cat.

    1. Love it. I feel the same way about announcing the house is empty.

  3. Thanks Rog, might look into it.

My experience with blogger and iPads has not been a happy one and I certainly wouldn't attempt to make a full post from it. Even when replying to a comment, it locks up about 50% of the time. (This one was done from my desktop with no worries at all)

  4. I am still not convinced myself..one of the pics did not load..I doubt I would do a full blog either but may be able to do short and quick ones while on the run...it remains to be seen but will start having a go.

  5. But does it work on the back of an old envelope with a stubbie HB pencil?

Gotta look at that site - like their sense of humour/ridiculous...
    Thanks for the pointer,
    Cheers

  6. When I first looked at this I didn't know what the hell you were talking about until some people left some comments. Blogsy.....sounds like some type of disease.

    1. You're right - it is a disease; an Apple disease... I have to be bi-comuter literate, PC at work and Apple at home...

  7. The only problem I have had posting from the iPad is that it list one of my drafts once. Otherwise I haven't had much problem. Slightly mor difficult with links, but my easier for posting pics for me. :)

  8. Roger:

I don't have an iPad. It doesn't do video editing very well, nor does it do Photoshop. I need to transfer approx 1G of Jpegs and video for each day I am away onto an external drive and I need VLC to play back my AVCHD video clips, plus the USB ports I need to charge some of my electronics whilst on the road.

But it is nice to see that it "sort of" works, so you can figure out what to pack

  9. When iPads first came out, I just didn't get it. Many people I know got them and raved about them, claiming they were fantastic. Not really seeing what I would use it for, I resisted buying one for ages. Having had one for about a year now, you know what? I was right. They are over-hyped junk. They don't do what you want them to do. You cannot use proper files. You cannot type well on them. They lock up too often when typing, especially when responding to post posts).

They are okay-ish for surfing and reading stuff, but don't go near them if you need to type anything. Give me a proper computer all the time. I find myself finding stuff on the web on tmine, then e-mailing a short note to myself to research it better, respond or write something the next time I am sitting at a proper computer.

Use one for blogging? No F'ing Chance. Its like trying to wipe your bum with a spoon - in theory it works well, is much more shiny than toilet paper, has more razzamatazz, but it just doesn't work as well. Give me toilet paper any day! Give me a computer any day!

It speaks volumes that you see people using them with accessory keyboards. What? A keyboard being used with an iPad? Thats a laptop isn't it?
