Anyway, that aside I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of some farkles for Betty the Beemer. Is it possible to add more stuff to that bike I hear you say? Dam right it is. This summer I am going to get into some real off road adventures which include obscure places/ great scenery...and cough cough..camping! ( As long as I can get a coffee close by). So I am making some serious adjustments to the bike in preparation....after all it seems like a good idea.
I am also thinking of changing the name of my blog to "Rogers Rocky Road Adventures"...What do you reckon? Change it or leave it?
Ah Roger you flatter me so. Or is that tease me?
ReplyDeleteI saw that one on Facebook too and chuckled. They sure have some funny ones.
Can't wait to see/read about the new farkles. Rocky road adventures sounds like fun and good coffee is a must when camping.
Brandy; I have to agree with the funny pics, I think that is the only reason i am on FACEBOOK. I will count that as one vote for RRA!
DeleteToo funny...you actually think there is a possibility that a bike can have too many farkles. Silly rabbit. :)
ReplyDeleteIf it isn't new farkles, it is always improved farkles over the ones that you have!
As far as the name change, have you actually had gravel rash? Will getting rid of the name bring the activity down upon you in spades?
I am feeling very honoured and humbled that some as famous as yourself has graced my blog with your profound words of wisdom and inspiration, it is not often that my blog is visited by such an esteemed female blogger as yourself...
DeleteMan I think I need a wine........
A wine or a whine?? ;)
DeleteI am no where near as famous as someone such as your self and a certain video of some offroad hill rides that circulate in your NZ circle.
If you could see me now, I am poking my tongue out at you! and blowing raspberries...
DeleteRogey:
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what farkles you install, and also read about your camping (cough) adventures. You're having too much fun with Betty

You have inspired me Bob! I saw you camping...then searching for WIFI!
DeleteI like "All Things Rogey" because... well, it is all about Rogey isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks Brad....I think I will keep it.
DeleteWell Rog,
ReplyDeleteYour "seemed a good idea..." adventures have kept you alive and kicking, plus having good fun at the same time!
Camping??? Good heavens man, you're an Aucklander! Hope you've got room in those panniers for designer daywear, high end toiletries, caviar, kitchen sink.....
Hehe...
Geoff..Geoff..Geoff.....I would ike you to know that i am not that shallow! When I say camping, what i actually mean is I am going to pitch the tent, then take a picture, then go back to the motel room have ahot spa bath and head to the pub......where I will remain firmly camped until closing time!
DeleteThat does not sound like a bad idea...
DeleteI love your idea of camping I'm with you mate.
DeleteI know..brilliant isn't it? Really don't understand why more people hadn't thought of it!
DeleteI'm good with whatever name you pick :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the adventures and stories to keep me through the long dreary winter!
I hope I can bring you many great adventures from down under!
DeleteCan't wait to learn about the new/improved farkles, Rog.
ReplyDeleteYour 'All Things Rogey' sounds goot to me, suggesting everything is ok, is good, is fun. Roger that! Or said in German slang of the 80's 'Alles Roger'. I like it.
And if you google All things Rogey, you are their first page, google rocky road and you get hits for outfitters, mountain bike stuff and ice cream, it seems to be a well used reference.
I wonder how you will like the camping 'in the wild'. I had taken you for a creature of comfort. But maybe I was all wrong about this.
However, if you plan on visiting the west coast, you can stay with us indoors. No need to pitch a tent in our backyard ;-)
YOur vote has sealed it..it stays! After all if I am coming up on the front page I sure as hell dont want to change that!
DeleteMy camping adventures remains to be seen...but who knows! I amy love it....PS See note to Geoff!
Farkles! Let us see the farkles! Forget about the name change - get those farkles on and show us some pics!
ReplyDeletePS: that Beemer still hasn't show up for a BRR ride...
Thanks for putting that into perspective...
DeleteLabour weekend BRR ? Let me know I will be there..
28th Oct I think...
DeleteNovember's ride is a three dayer around the Raglan area. Not sure if I'll be available to get away for it though :(
Interested to see where this goes...
ReplyDeleteAs for camping, I use to hike with a group called the Hiking, Backpacking and Wilderness Gourmet Society. They headed out for multi-day hiking trips with only fresh food, silverware, crystal glasses and bottles of wine and other spirits. Wonderful trips and some really excellent cooks.
Mate, they sound like my kind of people!
