The Revenge of the Pussys!

In the spirit of Geoff's post,

http://geoffjames.blogspot.com/2010/12/non-human-members-of-family.html

I thought I will show you the boss of my house.  He answers to Moses, that is when he can be bothered.  He is fourteen now, and is still the most bossy pussy you have ever meet!  But I have had him for a long time in fact longer than any relationship  (God that's embarrassing).

He life revolves moving from the deck to the kitchen and then back to the deck, occasionally he will sit by my feet.  Sometime when he has a moment of weakness he might even jump up onto my lap.  He guards the house with a vengeance.  No other pussy gets within a hundred yards of our house.

He is a rather large pussy who, like his dad, likes his food.

I love my pussy, he has been a great pet, and is very loyal.

So who is next.

  1. Moses is a wonderful, elegant chap Roger. His life as described by you is only part of the equation. At night of course, when you are fast asleep, he is tirelessly guarding both you and your property, hence his fatigue and hunger whilst you are awake. And do you give him credit?? No wonder he's bossy!

I had the same cat (Sooty) from when I was 5 until 21. Wonderful, constant companion as I was growing up.

Merry Xmas mate - have a fabulous time!

  2. Thanks Geoff, as always I appreciate your comments. I will have a great holiday, I have rented a bach in Mahau Sound, 45mins from Picton. Taking the kids and partner should be great!

  3. Doesn't he get upset when you call him pussy? Isn't that too girlish? My Kelly (sadly he only made it to the age of 13) was similar to your boy, and usually couldn't be bothered, except someone male - human or animal - would enter his territory. Then he would fight with a vengeance. He was always very jealous of my hubby, but probably because I had the cat before I had the man... cats are awesome. I love their independence.

  6. Honestly Andrew if I had more room where I live I would have a dog, in the mean time Moses is as close as I get!

  7. I am an associate of Leo. Leo is a cat. I'm told dog's have owners, whereas, cats have associates. He shows no interest in riding, but he is keen on the gear, particularly the pants.

  8. Rog, I guess it's a sad reflection on my character that I thought this post would be about something entirely different.....

    :)

On a more serious note, I've not even held a cat since I was a wee lad, so it's hard to relate.
